After the success of the Portland Staycation campaign, I was invited to submit a proposal for Portland's yearly Downtown for the Holidays campaign. My proposal was chosen as the winner, and so I built out the brand direction for the entire campaign. It's appeared in print, online advertisements and website, and all over the downtown Portland area. I chose a somewhat quirky, sharp script type to compliment the chiseled type featured in headlines, and to contrast those I also supplied some slightly imperfect, hand-drawn icons. Additionally, snowflakes and multi-colored string light elements complement the overall design kit, adding a counterpoint to the deep teals, dark reds, and pastel tints that are present throughout the campaign.
